12 Week Course

Feature Film School are proud to launch our 12-week acting for film course. This course will teach actors the basics of acting for camera and working in the film business with renowned actress, writer and director, Gemma Doorly. 

Gemma will aim to teach actors the basics of acting for camera through script analysis, character breakdown, acting techniques and a mock audition.

Film Experience

Actors will be joined on the last two weeks by a feature film director who will work with actors on framing, technicalities and acting on set.

Producer Q&A

A film producer will join the last class for a Q & A session with actors on the film business. Giving tips on how to break into the industry.

Showreel

Students will get one show reel scene at the end of the course shot by a feature film director. This show reel will be professionally edited.

Gemma Doorly

Actor

Gemma Doorly is an actress, writer and director. In 2007, she was nominated for a Best Actress IFTA for the film ‘A Song for Rebecca’ but she is probably best known for playing ‘Sarah O’Leary’ in RTE soap Fair City for ten years. She is also a playwright and director and most recently worked as a writer on IFTA winning TV show, Red Rock.
